FAIRPORT, NY — The Rochester Jr. Americans are would like to welcome defenseman Brian Grant.
Grant signed his tender agreement with the Jr. Amerks after most recently playing high school hockey at Noble & Greenough School. In terms of production, this past season was a standout year tallying 18 points in 27 games. The year before he had six points in 26 games.
The Mansfield, Massachusetts native was born March 18, 2004. His 2004 birth year gives him multiple seasons of NAHL eligibility if necessary. According to his Elite Prospects profile, he stands 6’1″ and 179 lbs.
A tender is a contract, of sorts, a player signs announcing his intentions to play for that particular NAHL team and that NAHL team only. Once a player signs a tender with an NAHL team, his playing rights belong to that team within the NAHL and he may not be recruited by any other NAHL team. Each team is granted ten (10) tenders – plus or minus any trades – which become active on Nov. 1. Tendered players are not eligible for the NAHL draft.
The Jr. Amerks are excited to welcome Brian to our Jr. Amerks tender class!
